Out of Date software

I have just acquired a Boox Note Air.  I find that both Evernote and Dropbox apps are available through the Boox app center HOWEVER, both products are very old.   DropBox keeps indicating I may loose data and need to upgrade.  Evernote just seems to crash a lot. 

How can I update these apps?

  Update - 5 days later.

  Today I decided to revisit  my Note Air.  We needed some distance.

  To my surprise when I opened Play Store, the login was easy, just like my phone. 

  I loaded the Kindle app and pulled in some of my library including magazines.  All works fine.

  Then,  I reinstalled the important stuff like Dropbox  and Evernote.  Dropbox now working without any errors and EN, well...  it mostly works.

  No hand writing in the app yet.

  Still no obvious method of taking hand written notes and cataloging them (meaning where they can be used across platforms ).
