New Nova Air issues

I just got the new Nova Air yesterday. I"m having two issues:

• It's hard to turn on  When it is asleep and I press the power button, nothing happens.  I have to long press it and then it looks like it shuts down, and then I have to long press it again a few times for it to turn on.  This doesn't seem right.
• It is not syncing to the push.boox site.  I'm logged into my account (by email) but and I've clicked on the sync icon, but the notebook doesn't appear in the cloud. 
• When I set the push.boox site I first logged in using my phone number, but never got the verification code. I then used my email and that worked. But when I try to bind my phone to the account I get an error message that that number is already bound.  How do I fix this?
