I am seeing the same issue. 1-2 page documents easily convert to 5MB documents which become close to unresponsive in pdf viewers. This is a serious problem.

In foxit pdf editor one can see that 98% of the pdf file size stems from "Comments and 3D content".

Same issue on my Note Air 2. I have a pdf template of my office letterhead and taking notes on it is really wonderful. It works just like I wanted. When I export it to Google Docs and open it with my desktop computer (Window 10) in Nitro Pro, the document is about 800% the size of the original pdf. I can print it by forcing an A5 paper and "fit to printable area" option in the print dialog. Seems like I am doing something wrong though.

    Any advice?

We have the same issue on Nova 3 color

When we create a note with 4 hand written pages the file size is 5mb. When you open this on your pc in any pdf reader its almost impossible to read this. I using the notes to write advices for my clients sessions. I have had complains that it's opens very slow.

Can you do something about the export file size?

    Dear customer,

    We apologize for the inconvenience.

We understand that exporting notes to PDF is an important feature of the Note-Taking application, and we also noticed the issue that the exported file is being large in size.

However, this issue will be resolved on the next firmware update v3.2.1. After the update, it will have 2 options when exporting the note to PDF which you could choose bitmap PDF or vector PDF. If choosing the bitmap PDF, it will compress the size of the PDF file to make it as small as possible.

The new firmware is currently in beta and will be available soon.

    Hello BOOX Shop Support Team,

Thank you for your kind reply, the software update is much appreciated.

I realize my issue is slightly different. I'm wasn't talking about file size, that doesn't bother me. The problem is the physical size of the document. I imported a pdf template in A5, roughly 5 x 8 inches and when I export it, it comes out 20 x 30 inches. I'm taking patient notes that are appended to an ongoing pdf file, so the two sizes very much don't match.

Will the new software update address this document dimensions differential?

    Hi Billy,

Thank you for explaining the issue with the file size. In this case, we are wondering would it be possible that you could submit feedback on your device and also attach the original pdf template in A5 in the feedback. We believe that this is an uncommon issue and we would love to find out and fix the problem. And yu could submit feedback by the steps below:

We appreciate your effort and understanding.

Hi, I just sent you the file and a truncated explanation. Thank you for your interest in fixing this issue.

You make a wonderful device, I really enjoy using it. I realize my specific needs are a bit niche but it would REALLY help my workflow to be able to import the file directly. Thank you,

    billy
