Lumi 2 won't charge

My Lumi 2 arrived today and when I tried to do a software update it started flashing between the onyx page and a blank screen. Now it's stuck on the onyx page. The charging light won't light. It's been trying to charge for hours. What, other than return it (I was smart enough at least to go through Amazon) should I do?

  I am having the same problem where the charging is all over the map. First, it doesn't seem to charge. Then it holds steady. Then, it may jump to 100%. Then, all of a sudden it is down to 17%...then dropping. You get the picture. Should I just return and get a new one or just let it charge overnight? Is there a software issue? 

  Or, do I need a certain powerful charger? 

  Would be nice if someone would answer this. Is there a phone tech support line?
