BOOX Speed Mode on Tab X C – is it really as fast as Tab Ultra C or Note Air 5C, or still just “old A2 mode in disguise”?
Hi everyone,
I’m trying to figure out how the Speed Mode on the BOOX Tab X C actually performs in real use.
BOOX mentioned that newer devices like the Note Air 5C support improved refresh modes (HD + Speed), and I’ve also seen people talking about smoother performance on the Tab Ultra C line.
So my question is pretty straightforward:
Is the Speed Mode on the Tab X C actually as fast and responsive as the Note Air 5C or Tab Ultra C?
Or does it still feel closer to the older refresh modes (like A2-style performance), just slightly improved?
What I’m really trying to understand from real users:
- Is scrolling noticeably smooth or still a bit laggy?
- How is typing responsiveness in Speed Mode?
- Does it feel “tablet-like” like Tab Ultra C, or still clearly e-ink limited?
- Do you end up staying in Speed Mode, or switching back to HD/A2 for stability?
Would really appreciate honest impressions from anyone who has used these devices side by side.
Thanks in advance!
