Where is Boox Reader data stored? (Need to Backup)
Hi there,
My device has a faulty screen, and needs to be sent into the reseller for repair (it's under warranty). I was instructed to back the device up first, in case it gets wiped during the repair process.
Yet, there appears to be no way to actually back it up. I found info on how to save Notes to the cloud and to my computer, but that doesn't back up the device.
As this device (Nova3) is first and foremost an eBook reader, it seems essential to me that one can backup (and restore) book reader data (highlights, annotations, book progress). Otherwise this important data is almost not worth creating. Aside from backing up in case the device fails, or needs to be reset, what if I upgrade to a new Boox device in the future? I'll have no way to move my Reader data over to the new device. Thus my thousands of highlights and annotations will be lost.
Would someone from Onyx please advise which folders and / or files the Reader data is stored in, and whether it is possible to save and then restore those folders / files. I have access to the system files on the device, and I can copy them to my computer, and copy them back to the device. But I have no idea which folders and files to copy. I am also not sure if the Reader app will utilise the data files if I have restored them from a backup.
If possible, it would also be great to be able to backup the settings, as it takes a long time to get the device set up as one wants it.
Please let me know.
Thanks very much.
Jonathan
