BOOX Neo Reader skips final page of zip files

I read manga as a zip file that contains all pages as image files (jpg or png). I noticed that with every file, the file page is skipped. Say I read a manga with 166 pages, near the end it goes from page 164/166 immediately to page 166/166, but it is actually showing page 165/166 and you cannot flip to the final page like that. The only way to display the final page is to go to the page directly using the GUI for going to chapters or pages directly (and can change contrast, format, TOC, etc.).
This occurs with every zip file, so I figured there might be a problem in the reader app. Is this the case or is there perhaps a setting that I have messed up?

In the example case the final page is just a (useless) credit page, but a lot of many has an important page as the final page and this would then be missing during normal page flipping.

Hi there! We apologize for the inconvenience. After checking with our tech team, this is an issue with the NeoReader. We have recorded this issue and will fix it asap.
In this case, we suggest changing the zip file extension to cbz like [Decembers Heartbeat [yuriproject].zip] → [Decembers Heartbeat [yuriproject].cbz]. After that, this issue will be resolved.
