power-button and wake-up questions

My Note Air2 Plus requires 5 seconds of holding the power button to initialize booting process. It seems a bit loo long and I'd like it to be 3 or even 2 seconds . Can this be changed through some configuration settings ? If not, may I suggest to consider this as a feature for next update ?

Also, by my experience, once the device enters the sleep mode the only way to wake it up is by pressing power button. I'd love to be able to wake it up by some touch-screen gesture. Is this available ?

  Dear customer, we apologize for the inconvenience.

  When holding the power button to boot the device, there is a light indicator on the power button and it will usually turn blue within 3 seconds. When the indicator turns blue, it means the device is starting and it is okay to release the power button. Due to the e-ink, it might take a bit longer than the other device to turn on. However, we will forward your suggestion to our tech team and will do our best to improve the software of our device. 

  We also informed our tech team about the feature of using gestures to wake up the device from sleep mode. However, this feature would consume a lot of battery, so we currently don't have a plan to implement this feature.

  Thank you so much for very detailed answer. Yes, I can confirm that blue-LED turns on after around 3 seconds and the button can be released while the device is booting up. I certainly missed that and was waiting until the display shows booting screen, which requires additional 1 - 2 seconds. That was the reason I thought of 5 the button must be pressed for 5 seconds. This is great and very helpful !

  I understand the concern with battery usage if display touch-gesture is used for wake up feature. I think this is a valid argument to keep things as they are.

  As I know, there is a a power setting for how long the device is in sleep mode before shutting down. you may change it to a longer time or Never.
